In addition to Raymond Schelker, Maja Wiprächtiger has recently been accredited as a Reffnet.ch expert. Thanks to her knowledge of material flow analysis, life cycle assessment and the circular economy, she can provide companies with expert support. She advises companies on resource efficiency, with a focus on furniture, textiles, waste disposal, the construction industry and the chemical industry, among others.
Eco-design test case for mattresses
The eco-design test case for bico-Hilding Anders mattresses showed great potential for savings. In addition to direct eco-design measures, recycling options for waste were also examined. Among the eco-design measures, the use of secondary foam and the use of a pure polyester cover, which is easier to recycle after use, showed great potential for saving resources. When it comes to recycling waste, it is the waste from the production of covers, i.e. textile waste, which can lead to a reduction in emissions through suitable recycling, either within the company or externally.
