Eco-Design Case Study for Mattresses
The Eco-Design case study for bico-Hilding Anders mattresses has demonstrated significant savings potential. In addition to direct Eco-Design measures, options for waste recovery were also investigated. Regarding Eco-Design measures, the use of recycled foam and a pure polyester cover, which is easier to recycle after use, showed particularly high resource-saving potential. Concerning waste recovery, textile waste from cover production can lead to emission reductions through appropriate recycling, either within the company or externally.
